Based on Tom Woods recommendation, I’ve changed my hosting service over to Bluehost. I’ve had this site since 2012, I believe but I haven’t really done much with it other than write an occasional post. I really didn’t have any aspirations to build a massive audience and thus far I certainly haven’t. I think my sister is the only one who reads my posts and not all of them to be sure. I think I’ve had a few pretty good posts and articles but for the most part, I’m doubtful as to my ability as a writer (trying to get better of course) but I do enjoy it and that’s why I started jeffscottgreene.com to begin with. It’s mostly just an outlet for me to sound-off and if someone else may enjoy reading my posts then that’s all good as well. Of course I’m always up for a good discussion. I also am hoping that having a record of my thoughts to leave my posterity might help them to learn to think critically about the world around them and always question the mainstream narrative.
While I may write for my own enjoyment I do like to engage in the business of persuasive argument every now and again. I believe that what is true is also rational and I want to try and get people to think rationally and ask the right questions so they get the right answers. And while I’m not a scholar and mostly self educated, I do my best to try and persuade others using, for the most part, plain language and common sense.
Another purpose I had in creating jeffscottgreene.com is the dissemination of information. I hope to incite my readers to go much further and check out the resources I’ve put on my site, resources that have helped me gain a much better understanding of history, politics, economics and the like. And not just a better understanding but to get to the truth of the matter. That’s always been a motivating factor for me; to know the truth of a matter and to dig and dig until I’m satisfied that I’ve found it while at the same time be willing, when confronted with new evidence and or sound arguments, to change my mind. And believe you me, I’ve had to change my mind plenty in my fifty-seven years of life on this planet.
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that if the “majority” believes it then it’s probably wrong. And if something is right or true it will likely be believed by only a minority and a very small minority at that. Isn’t that what Jesus said? “few be…” “narrow is the way” “narrow is the gate…” Very few, in the end, get it right so don’t follow the crowd because, as Christ said, the ends thereof, lead to destruction. But hey, anyone who still has their faculties and at least a couple of brain cells to rub together can choose to take a different path.
