This something everyone who is a part of the military should read.
Highly decorated Marine, Major General Smedley Butler, who fought in WWI, the Korean War and multiple other “conflicts” spoke out vociferously against war and put the blame for the perpetuation of it squarely on the incetuous relationships of corporations with government. He often blamed capitalism but in fact it was and is a perversion of capitalism which would be more accurately termed Corporatism, which could be defined as the excessive influence of business upon government officials who use their power to aid Big Business in procuring monopolistic and financial advantages in particular markets be it foreign or domestic. Sadly these advantages have been gained at the expense of the taxpayer and the lost lives of citizens.
Corporatism is worse now than ever. Unfortunately, the Power Elite have done a good job of keeping these sorts of views and narratives away from the public eye. They’ve made sure that the knowledge of such historical figures such as General Smedley and his views were not and are not taught in their government schools.
