I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s a group of people out there that must be a new cult of some kind. They think about things and reason things out and use something called critical thinking skills! Sounds suspicious to me.
I’m pretty sure it’s a cult because they are way out on the fringe of what is acceptable by the mainstream of anything that IS mainstream – if you know what I mean.
They are a small group but they seem to be getting a lot of traction because of the stupid internet. It’s just way too easy to get bad information on the World Wide Web. Somebody needs to do something about that. People can just put anything they want on these websites and give other people a lot of bad ideas that suck unsuspecting web surfers into their “web” of deceit. (no pun intended, ha!)
I’ve made up a list of a few of the signs that you should watch out for. Check out the list and if you or anyone you know has fallen for any of this nonsense an intervention may be necessary.
You may be in the Cult of Thinking if:
- you think Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt are in the top ten worst presidents of the US instead of the top ten best like everyone else thinks.
- you think that taxes are theft which are collected under threat of violence and if a private citizen were to collect “taxes” to give the money to needy people they would go to jail.
- you think governments should defend their own borders and not be attacking people who haven’t attacked them.
- you believe it’s NOT the US government’s job to spread “democracy” to the rest of the world at the end of a gun barrel.
- you think you can manage your life and your money better than government bureaucrats and we need to be weaned off of social programs like Social Security, Medicaid/Medicare and these programs should then be abolished and people should be responsible to take care of themselves.
- you think government subsidies of any kind are bad and programs, farmers, scientist, artists or whatever should make it or not, according to what the market determines. They should have to stand on their own merits.
- you think government welfare should stop and that people who are truly in need will be helped by churches and charities and individuals since, after all, there are many people who do care about other people and probably a lot more so than government bureaucrats and crooked politicians who think it’s the government’s job to steal money from one group of people to give it to another.
- you think the Republicans and Democrats are just two sides of the same coin and govern pretty much the same way and that since the government and the two parties are the cause of the country’s problems how on earth could the same people that broke it, fix it.
- you believe, other than the Revolutionary war, the US government has lied to get the public to go along with every other war they’ve gotten the US into.
- you believe the Federal Government has used false flag operations to propagandize the American people into believing we must attack other countries who haven’t attack us to “protect our freedom.”
- you don’t believe State authority is sanctioned by God and that “they” are the ministers of God for our good!
- you think government schools have nothing to do with education but are brainwashing centers that stifle creativity and are anti free market, socialist propaganda centers whose purpose is to “mold” children into obedient drones who will support and do their part in, the State planned “society”.
- you are against the war on drugs which you believe has cost many more lives than if drug usage was not illegal and you believe human beings own their own bodies and should therefore be able to do what they will with their own bodies so long as they don’t aggress against anyone else.
- you are against seatbelt and helmet laws and all other victimless crimes.
- you are against the creation of large centralized governments. (you’re really messed up if you’re against any government at all and you think all functions now performed by government could be better performed by free markets, volunteerism and contracts.)
- you think private citizens should be able to own any kind of gun they want and should not have to get permission from the state to do so since it has been proven conclusively that in areas where a large percentage of the population owns guns there is much less crime.
- you believe in free trade with NO interference at all from the government.
- you think 99% of the politicians are psychopaths and a high percentage of the people who vote for them are too because doing the same thing over and over again expecting to get different results must surely be some kind of psychosis.
- you think central banks, i.e. the Federal Reserve, should be abolished since the FED is responsible for ruining the economy by manipulating the money supply and interest rates causing the boom and bust cycles creating huge bubbles in the markets that eventually burst and then bailing out businesses and banks that need to be liquidated and would be if market were allowed to take their natural course in correcting mal investment.
- you don’t believe the history you were taught in school.
- you think the main stream media is controlled by the government and international corporations.
- you don’t believe the official government report about 9/11 or numerous other terrorist attacks.
- you think it’s not the government’s job to keep us from drinking raw milk and want the FDA, the EPA and other corrupt agencies to be abolished since you think the free market will take care of these issues without government intervention as it has for thousands of years.
- you think that the Patriot Act and the agencies created after 9/11 like the TSA, NSA and others have greatly restricted our liberty and freedoms while making us no safer and that the travel industries could do a much better job than the government in keeping their customers safe without trampling on their rights.
- you think the US’s foreign policy should be a non interventionist since the more the US intervenes the worse things get and the more people hate the United States making us even less safe and you don’t believe non interventionism is the same as Isolationism.
Well as you can see there are SO many things to watch out for it can be hard to remember them all. And there’s a lot more than just these twenty-five. The main thing to remember is that if someone tells you something different than what the mainstream media, the government or what you learned in school you’d better run the other way because they may be trying to recruit you into “The Cult of Thinking”.
