Unlike the tug-of-war between the two predominate American political parties which, as far as I’m concerned, make me want to jump off the nearest bridge or at least expatriate, the liberty movement gives me hope. Maybe not so much for myself but at least for my posterity. In a relatively short time, primarily due to the “Internet Reformation” (a phrase that I believe was coined by the publishers of “The Daily Bell“) the libertarian movement has grown by leaps and bounds in the last several years.
In some ways it surprises me that, with all the dissatisfaction with the “establishment” that runs both parties, the libertarian message; the message of freedom, hasn’t been latched onto by more of the public than it has. Unfortunately too many think that “their side” is the right side. Even with the vast amounts of evidence to the contrary people continue to vote republican or democrat each one blaming the other side for all the woes of the country. They don’t, for some reason, seem able to grasp, what should be abundantly clear by now, that both parties are simply a facade of choice offered to the american people to keep them on this political seesaw, both sides being connected to the same fulcrum of corruption that no matter which party is currently on top it’s all connected to the same corrupt system designed to rape, kill and steal until not one shred of our liberty will be left in tact.
So the question is, once this current system finally collapses into the dung heap of history and it will, what will take it’s place? Will it be a totalitarian police state (I predict it will be for at least a while) or will people just try to fix what they thought was broken with this current system or will people finally realize that “the STATE” IS the problem and to do away with a centralized government all together is the only way to ensure that individual liberty is preserved? (by the way, many of the founders were very skeptical of the creation of the Federal Government of the United States and believed it would turn into exactly what it has, in fact, turned into)
